A woman has been found seriously injured on a nature strip in Victoria after a shocking assault.
Just after 3am on Monday, a member of the public was walking on Torquay Rd in the Geelong suburb of Grovedale when they came across the injured woman.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The woman was allegedly assaulted while she was in her home by a young man, who then stole her car.
He fled the scene and the woman managed to get out of the property, and was found on the nature strip.
A short time later, the man crashed the stolen car into a garage in Dunwinnie Crt in Hamlyn Heights, and he was arrested at the scene.
The 20-year-old of no fixed address is assisting officers with their enquiries, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
